Anthropic says Claude used for cyberattacks and surveillance

Anthropic reported that Russian-speaking operator JackPoterz used Claude to automate cyberattacks targeting over 20 organizations, including government ministries and embassies. A Mali consultant also used Claude to build a mass-surveillance platform monitoring roughly 25 million SIM cards across all three national mobile operators.
