Microsoft began disabling Exchange Web Services by default in Exchange Online, cutting off the protocol Apple Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Notes, and Reminders on Mac use to sync Microsoft 365 work accounts. The phased rollout may hit some users sooner. IT admins can restore access, but permanent shutdown is set for April 1, 2027, with no extensions planned.
