Banks' Swift scheme edges fintechs in cross-border payments

Banks now compete with wallet-native fintechs using Swift's payments scheme, built with over sixty banks. The rulebook commits participants to full-value delivery, upfront fee and FX transparency, and end-to-end tracking on international transfers, already live across the network.
