IO Interactive regained full ownership of Project Fantasy after Xbox ended its publishing and funding partnership. The Danish developer will independently fund and develop the RPG while closing its Istanbul studio and laying off staff. The company is refocusing on internal core titles instead of external projects and mobile game derivatives.
