Waymo's Self-Driving Brain Can't Spot A Closed Road

Waymo is recalling over 3,800 robotaxis after a software issue in the 5th Generation Automated Driving System caused vehicles to miss closed roads and crash into construction barriers. A software update is being pushed to all affected vehicles. The recall follows earlier incidents where robotaxis struggled with flooded roads.
