France Passes Stablecoin Swap Tax by One Vote

French lawmakers adopted a budget amendment by a single vote on Friday to tax crypto-to-stablecoin swaps starting January 1, 2027. Of the 100 deputies present, 38 voted for the measure while 37 opposed it, with 25 abstaining.
