Oracle Spends More Than It Earns on Data Centers

Oracle reported a $664bn backlog of contracted work, up from $455bn a year ago, as its cloud infrastructure revenue doubled to $7.4bn in the quarter. The company spent $28bn on construction and equipment in a single quarter, exceeding its $23bn in operating cash flow, to build capacity for signed contracts.
