Polars 2.0 ships today with out-of-core support enabled by default at 80% RAM usage and a new Map datatype. The release treats SQL as a first-class citizen, beating DuckDB and DataFusion on TPC-H and TPC-DS1 benchmarks. Polars also introduces stricter type checking to help AI agents validate queries faster.
