TabFM: A zero-shot foundation model for tabular data

Google Research introduced TabFM, a zero-shot foundation model for tabular data classification and regression. TabFM uses in-context learning to eliminate manual hyperparameter tuning and feature engineering. The model targets enterprise tasks like customer churn prediction and fraud detection, challenging tree-based algorithms such as XGBoost and random forests.
