Samsung Kills Messages App on Galaxy Phones

Samsung will discontinue the Samsung Messages app in July 2026. Users in the U.S. must switch to Google Messages before the deadline. The app will stop sending messages except to emergency numbers. Google Messages became default in 2022 and Samsung Messages stopped being installed in 2024.
