Kaveri Engine Passes Russian Flight Trials

India's Kaveri dry engine completed high-altitude and flight trials in Russia, hitting 48.5 kN peak dry thrust against a 46 kN target. Developed by DRDO's GTRE for the planned Ghatak stealth UCAV, the engine was tested at two Russian facilities and fitted to an Ilyushin Il-76 testbed. Certification and integration remain.
