Quantum AI Generates New Peptides

Researchers at the Technical University of Denmark used a quantum computer from British startup ORCA Computing to improve a generative AI model for predicting proteins. The hybrid technique generated novel peptides that bind to specific proteins, outperforming classical models especially where training data was scarce. The team worked weekends and used leftover project funds.
