Coinbase launches AI agent trading platform

Coinbase launched Coinbase for Agents, a standalone tool letting AI agents like ChatGPT and Claude trade crypto and pay for services autonomously. Users set spending limits and connect existing accounts. The tool uses Coinbase's x402 payments protocol for machine-to-machine payments. Equities and prediction markets will be added later.
