Kalanick returns to robotaxi race with Atoms

Travis Kalanick's startup Atoms is preparing a hiring spree and acquisitions to become a major robotaxi player. Atoms raised $1.7 billion in June, with Uber investing $100 million and holding talks to use its technology. Atoms acquired autonomous mining startup Pronto, led by Anthony Levandowski.
