National Civics Bee Aims to Boost Workforce Skills

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and Johns Hopkins Institute for Education Policy organized the 2025 National Civics Bee, a nationwide competition for middle school students. Over 20,000 students participated through 240 local chambers. Post-competition surveys showed 98% of participants gained a meaningful benefit, with nearly three-quarters improving their writing and many reporting greater confidence in discussing public issues.
