Google spends $50M training 300,000 skilled trades workers

Google is spending $50 million to train 300,000 skilled-trades workers across more than 20 US states, funding electricians, plumbers, welders, and sheet metal workers for AI data center buildouts. The $166 per worker budget is a fraction of Google's $1 billion AI education spend and less than one hour of the company's $50.9 million hourly revenue.
