AI Models Hack Power Grids Successfully

New research from cybersecurity firm Frenos shows top AI models blueprint cyberattacks on power and water systems with high success. Three of ten tested models succeeded in roughly 90% of attempts, while frontier models achieved between 17.9% and 31.9%. Nearly 17,000 tests were conducted, including 2,520 attempts to construct complete attack plans against industrial systems.
