Toyota Builds $2 Billion EV Plant in China

Toyota plans to build electric vehicles at its Shanghai Lexus plant using internal gigacasting equipment. The $2 billion project is currently under construction with car production slated to begin in 2027, following a 19% drop in Toyota's China sales through eight months.
