ChatGPT grows user base to over 1.1 billion but its market share is shrinking

ChatGPT hits 1.1 billion monthly active users in May. Its market share drops to 46.4% from 100% years ago, behind Gemini at 27.7% and Claude at 10.3%. Monthly ad exposure reaches 17% of daily users. Spending on AI chatbots rises to $4.2 billion in H1, up from $1.83 billion in H1 last year.
