Salt Typhoon Targets Latin America with New Backdoor

Chinese state-sponsored group Salt Typhoon has shifted its focus to Latin America, targeting governments in Argentina, Peru, Venezuela, and others. Researchers at ESET report the group deployed a new backdoor called SparroWocky, with around 90% of its recent activity concentrated in the region.
