Norway Probes Telenor Over Myanmar Junta Data

Norwegian law enforcement agencies are investigating telecom giant Telenor for potential complicity in crimes against humanity. The probes focus on the company's actions in Myanmar from the February 1, 2021 coup until the sale of its local subsidiary on March 25, 2022. Authorities allege Telenor repeatedly handed over customer traffic data to the military regime during a period of extensive civilian abuses.
