UK Lawmakers Push Bill to Ban Superintelligence Development

Labour MP Alex Sobel introduced a parliamentary bill to ban the development, deployment, and operation of artificial superintelligence. The legislation would grant the government powers to monitor and control the technology at various supply chain points, including at the chip level.
