Microsoft: KB5120998 mouse bug hits non-English PCs

Microsoft confirmed the KB5120998 August 2026 preview update resets mouse personalization settings only on non-English Windows 11 systems. The optional update, released August 27, also causes desktop settings loss on some devices. Users cannot restore previous mouse settings after the revert.
