Qualcomm is in advanced talks to acquire Modular Inc. for roughly $4 billion. Modular, co-founded by LLVM and Swift creator Chris Lattner, builds the MAX framework and Mojo language that let AI models run across different silicon. The deal targets Nvidia's CUDA software lock-in rather than competing on chips directly.
