TRAI Proposes Licenses for Live TV Apps

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India recommends that live TV apps like Samsung TV Plus obtain government licenses by October 26. Under the proposal, operators must store user data in India and pay Rs 10,000 processing fees plus Rs 1 lakh entry fees for a 20-year national license.
