Ty Sherback exposed his self-hosted Immich photo library to family using NetBird's reverse proxy feature introduced in version 0.65. The setup provides a public URL with password authentication, TLS termination, and no open ports on the home network. Family members access photos through a browser with a link and password, bypassing VPN complexity.
