Apple plans to ship only a base M6 chip this fall, with no M6 Pro or M6 Max in development. The company is accelerating M7 timelines for on-device AI advancements. The M6 will appear in a new base MacBook Pro, but will skip the Mac mini, iMac, Mac Studio, and high-end MacBook Pros.
