Ex-Legislator Launches AI Nonprofit After Costly Loss

Former New York state Assemblymember Alex Bores, who co-authored the RAISE Act, has launched a nonprofit called Who Decides. The group aims to unite Democratic AI advocacy organizations and build a shared policy agenda. Bores lost a congressional primary where over $40 million in outside money was spent, including $7.6 million against him from an OpenAI-funded super PAC.
