Apple names Nate Gatten government affairs VP

Apple hired Nate Gatten as vice president of Government Affairs, effective before the CEO transition from Tim Cook to John Ternus on September 1. Gatten joins from American Airlines Group, where he held the same role for nearly a decade. Nick Ammann will report to Gatten.
