Arrakis Security released a 2026 Autonomous Agents Threat Report on October 21st, 2026, finding that 76% of active agents have not run in 60 days. Despite this dormancy, 44% have not run in 180 days, and 24% can be started by unsigned webhooks from outside the organization based on telemetry from thousands of customers over 12 weeks.
