Mecklenburg-Vorpommern expands open source strategy with statewide Nextcloud rollout

The German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern deploys a statewide collaboration platform based on the open source software Nextcloud to serve public sector employees. DVZ M-V GmbH operates this system under the GNU AGPLv3 license while transitioning users away from Microsoft SharePoint without data loss. Currently around 5,000 staff members use the tool for file sharing with plans to expand access beyond 50,000 workers eventually.
