openSUSE Leap 16.1 Adds Immutable Mode

openSUSE Leap 16.1 introduces an optional Immutable Mode, a transactionally updated system with a read-only root filesystem, toggled during installation. The feature, previously limited to Leap Micro, brings atomic updates and easy rollback to desktop users. Leap 16.1 ISOs are available for download, and the distribution already uses SELinux, firewalld, and Btrfs snapshots for security.
