MapQuest Adds Transit Directions After 30 Years

MapQuest has added public transit directions to its iOS and Android apps, covering almost 2,000 cities across 70 countries, with real-time departure data for over 350 cities. The 30-year-old service saw a user surge after refusing to rename Lake Ontario, and says returning users demanded transit features. Web support and Android Auto are coming.
