BrahMos Plans 1500-km Missile by 2027

BrahMos Aerospace CEO Dr. Jaiteerth Joshi states the company expects to develop the first prototype of its next-generation BrahMos-NG missile by 2027 or 2028. The system currently has a 290-km strike range, but a 1,500-km range version remains at the conceptual stage. Foreign militaries have expressed interest in air-launched configurations for their Sukhoi-30 platforms.
