VW Launches ID. ERA 8X in China

SAIC Volkswagen launches the ID. ERA 8X extended-range electric SUV on Monday with a limited-time price of 206,800 yuan ($30,720). The vehicle features a 51.1-kWh battery, a 1.5-liter turbo engine, and Momenta's R7 driver-assistance system. Pre-sales began on September 28, and the lineup now includes three models before the battery electric ID. ERA 5X arrives in November.
