Ubisoft Trademarks Motherbrain for Gen-AI Games

Ubisoft has filed trademarks for Motherbrain, an internal generative-AI initiative for creating video games and interactive content. The publisher has not announced it publicly. Ubisoft previously launched Ghostwriter, deployed gen-AI company-wide, and is accelerating investment in Teammates, its first playable generative-AI shooter. The filings follow studio closures, six cancelled projects, and roughly 380 layoffs.
