China CXMT Announces New Memory Chip Design

China's ChangXin Memory Technologies announced a new server memory product using a 4F square design before the end of 2026. Global chip stocks sank Tuesday, with SK Hynix shares tumbled more than 10% and Samsung Electronics stock dropped 7.4%. Analysts note CXMT holds a fraction of the market share commanded by Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix.
