Volkswagen ends diesel Golf sales in UK after 50 years

Volkswagen has taken the diesel Golf off sale in the UK, ending a 50-year run. The diesel Golf debuted in 1976 and was Britain's best-selling diesel. Diesels now account for just 4.8% of UK sales. Volkswagen will focus on petrol and hybrid powertrains for the Golf.
