Astral Systems raises £23m to scale its nuclear fusion technology

Bristol-based Astral Systems raised a £23m Series A led by Mercia Ventures. The deep tech firm commercialized a multi-state fusion technology to address global shortages of medical radioisotopes used in cancer diagnosis. The company plans to run multiple compact fusion reactors at full capacity by the end of 2026.
