Galaxy SmartTag 3 Compass View Needs Bluetooth 6.0

Samsung announced the Galaxy SmartTag 3, whose upgraded Compass View uses Bluetooth 6.0 Channel Sounding to extend directional tracking range to 60 meters, about three times farther than the SmartTag 2. Only four Samsung phones support the feature: Galaxy S26+, S26 Ultra, Z Fold 8, and Z Fold 8 Ultra. It launches in Korea on October 7, the US later, and other markets in 2027.
