A $100 used HP ProDesk 600 G6 mini PC with an Intel Core i5-10500T CPU and 8GB of RAM replaced a Raspberry Pi 4 as a home server. ESPHome firmware compiles dropped from over five minutes to under one minute. The mini PC runs Proxmox, uses a proper SSD, and eliminates microSD card degradation and laggy automations.
