NASA ended its CAPSTONE mission after four years of lunar orbit operations. The spacecraft validated the near-rectilinear halo orbit for Gateway and tested autonomous navigation and delay-tolerant networking. Advanced Space owns and will continue operating the probe as a technology testbed.
