GitLab launches Secrets Manager generally available in version 19.5 on October 15, 2026. The paid add-on costs 1 credit per secret stored per month and 1 credit per 2,500 read operations. It allows teams to scope build-time secrets to specific jobs and serves runtime secrets from the same store without standing up a standalone vault.
