Mecka AI Acquires Viral App Thirdspace

Mecka AI completed its second acquisition by buying Ottawa-based social app Thirdspace for a cash-and-stock deal. The startup raised $60 million USD in Series B funding from Sequoia, Nvidia, Microsoft, Qualcomm, and Samsung. Mecka acquired the team to help reach a 100 million hours video target by end of 2027.
