Cadillac Optiq May Use Chinese Platform

The Cadillac Optiq, the smallest battery electric SUV, may ride on the Xiao Yao platform developed at the SAIC-GM Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center in Shanghai. GM's Ultium platform has been a flop in China, where customers prefer NIO, BYD, and XPENG. The Optiq will not come to the US but may sell in Europe, Canada, Mexico, and Australia.
