Kiryl announced today a patch series improving Linus Torvalds code for Linux kernel memory management. Testing with 64 threads on an AMD Ryzen Threadripper CPU showed fabulous improvements across EXT4, TMPFS, and XFS file-systems. The patches remain a request for comments pending future inclusion in the mainline kernel.
