Thomson Reuters is cutting up to 500 engineering roles, roughly 1.8% of its 27,100-person workforce. The company plans to hire over 250 senior AI-native engineers over two years. The cuts target the operations and technology division of about 9,400 people, representing 5.2% of that unit.
