Student Wins Rs 3.5 Crore Defence Grant for Drone

Sarvesh Sharma, a student at Hamirpur Government Polytechnic, secured a Rs 3.5 crore Ministry of Defence grant to develop the Rudra Edge T-1 (Spectra) drone for the Indian Army. The drone, designed for border surveillance, will evade radar and resist jamming. Sharma built a prototype for Rs 87,000 and will develop it at IIT Roorkee over 20 months.
