Amazon Leo Expands Satellite Internet to Uzbekistan

Amazon is partnering with Uzbek ISP Uztelecom to bring its Leo satellite internet to remote and hard-to-reach regions of Uzbekistan. Uztelecom already reaches 96 percent of communities, but mountainous and desert terrain limits cabled coverage. Leo is still in testing with employees and select enterprise customers, with a rollout planned later this year. Amazon has about 400 satellites in orbit, far behind SpaceX's 11,000.
