Apple Delays Brighter CoE OLED iPhone Screens to 2029

Apple will not adopt Color Filter on Encapsulation OLED until its Pro iPhones in late 2029, UBI Research says, pushing back a technology previously expected in the September 2027 20th anniversary iPhone. CoE removes the polarizing layer, enabling thinner, brighter, lower-power screens. Apple reportedly delayed it over cost concerns as iPhone prices rise.
